Services

Weddings

I will help you design a ceremony for the best day of your life! Your event will be based on Jewish tradition but inclusive of and weloming to all! I value the opportunity to work with interfaith and same-sex couples.

Baby namings and brit milah

Welcome your little one into your life and community with a ceremony designed with and for you! Your child will get off to a great start on the road to Torah (values-based learning), chuppah (dedicated partnership) and maasim tovim (acts of lovingkindness in the world).

Bar and Bat Mitzvah

I can help you design a ceremony that's right for your student and your family. I will teach your child whatever s/he needs to know, and (if you wish) will attend and help lead the special day.

Funerals and Shiva Services

Whether it's a full funeral service, a graveside service or a personal service in your home, I will help you make sure that the life of your loved one is properly honored, and that the mourners are counseled and comforted.

Jewish Education Leading to Conversation (or Not)

Let's work together to begin or continue your Jewish education. Whether you want to be familiar with your in-laws' customs, or are thinking about becoming Jewish yourself, I can help design a course of study that's right for you. And if you choose to convert, I can help you with that too.

Personal, one-on-one connection, from first meeting to the event

From the time we decide to work together, I am "at your service." We will meet regularly, either in person or via phone or Skype. We will check in regularly to ensure that we are all on the same page and that things are shaping up according to your hopes and expectations.

Referrals

I have worked with dozens of individuals, couples, and families over the years, and I can provide you with references as to my attentiveness and inclusivity -- and the wonderful events that result!

Rabbi Moti Rieber was a perfect fit for our wedding. He guided us through every phase, from thoroughly explaining the sections of the ceremony, to customizing the language based on our feedback, to selecting the right Ketubah, to even calming our nerves as we got closer to our date! Rabbi Rieber was also inclusive and supportive of our Interfaith needs. Many of our non-Jewish guests commented how they appreciated how our Rabbi explained key elements of the ceremony that were in Hebrew and they never felt lost or left out. He truly was able to bring our two families together and for this, we can never thank him enough. - Rachel
